Dr. Billy Kowalski

Dr. Billy Kowalski is the veterinarian and owner of Harbor Springs Vet. Dr. Billy’s favorite part of being a veterinarian is developing a bond with families and their beloved pets. He has been serving the Tampa Bay area as a veterinarian in Westchase for the past three years. Prior to moving to the Tampa community, Dr. Billy graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and began practicing veterinary medicine in Las Vegas, Nevada. His professional interests include, but are not limited to, dentistry, surgery, senior pet care and dermatology.

Dr. Billy grew up in a family who owned and operated their own business in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. He has always dreamed of owning and operating his own animal hospital and he has finally made that dream a reality.

Dr. Billy has two Labradors, Sam and Banana. You may meet them next time you are at our hospital, as they often love coming to work with their dad! Don’t be surprised if Banana brings you a tennis ball! These two enjoy beach days with their family and they are always looking forward to their evening walk with mom and dad.

In addition to spending our time taking care of our local community’s pets, we here at Harbor Springs Vet are big proponents of enjoying all that our beautiful Tampa Bay area has to offer. On the weekends, you can find us exploring the area, spending time at the beach, enjoying sports, and catching up with family and friends.

Tracie, Veterinary Technician

Tracie started working in the Veterinary field as an Animal Care Attendant in 2015, since then she was quickly moved up to a Veterinary Technician in 2016 caring for every patient as if they were her own ever since. Tracie is one of our very first Veterinary Technicians to join Dr. Kowalski’s team and she is very excited to make long lasting connections with both pet owners and our patients at Harbor Springs Vet. You’ll see her working in every part of the clinic, she is always on the go. Her favorite aspect of working on our team is her respect for the care and love, our founder Dr. Billy Kowalski, shows for the well-being of each and every pet and their owners. Tracie is also involved with enhancing our social media platforms with great content and photos. Her pet family at home includes, Bentley a Staffordshire Terrier, and many reptiles.

Brenda, Veterinary Technician

Brenda has been a Veterinary Technician for more than 30 years. She really enjoys caring for any kind of animal and educating others about their four-legged family members. Brenda has a daughter (Jessica) and a son (Troy) who also love animals. She enjoys spending time with her chocolate Labrador (Clementine) and Pitty mix (Biggie) and 3 cats. Brenda joined Harbor Springs in May 2020 and enjoys spending time on the water either on boat fishing or kayaking when not in the clinic.

Mariah, Veterinary Technician

Mariah started working in the field 15 years ago. She grew up in New York City but has been living here in Florida since high school. She really enjoys creating long lasting relationships with our wonderful clients and furry friends to ensure the best experience. She has 1 dog, a 5 lb chihuahua whom she loves so much! During her spare time she like’s to spend time with her husband and friends, visiting different breweries and restaurants in the area, traveling and always looking at things with the glass half full!

Ashley, Veterinary Technician

Ashley is originally from Chicago but moved to Florida in 2010. She has a passion for fostering bottle baby puppies and has been a CVT since 2018. Ashley recently got married and shares a love of all types of animals (from furry to scaly) with her husband. Together they have 4 cats, 2 dogs, 2 crocodile skinks, and a corn snake. On their time off, Ashley and her husband enjoy being outdoors, traveling, and visiting local breweries.

Keith, Veterinary Technician

Keith was Born in St. Pete Florida. He has 2 kids, 2 dogs, and a few snakes. Keith has been in animal medicine since high school. Keith Enjoys fishing from his kayak or just enjoying the outdoors with his family.
